Education
Education permeates all we do at Alliance for Sustainable Colorado. We prepare Colorado's leaders and communities to take action in their personal and professional lives by helping them understand sustainability. Our programming includes:
Alliance Center tours
Take a virtual tour of the Alliance Center and learn about green building and sustainable workplaces.
Alliance for Sustainable Colorado Speaker Series
We bring local and national leaders, and experts to Colorado to catalyze the transformation of ideas, behaviors, and policies.
Sustainable Colorado Lunch Series
We host monthly lunches for Alliance Center tenants, neighbors, and friends to educate and connect those working on sustainability.
Capacity Building Workshops
We improve nonprofits' performance by providing workshops on topics such as: time management, public speaking, fund-raising, and graphic design. Through our CASBA program, we have hosted capacity building trainings to encourage businesses to implement greener practices and policies.
University Research and Collaborative Activities
Alliance for Sustainable Colorado works with the next generation of leaders by aligning with universities to promote sustainability research and thought as part of the college classroom experience. In the spring of 2008, we partnered with Metropolitan State College of Denver's for their Apprentice Challenge - a competition in which students developed sustainable solutions for local businesses.
