GEO High Performance Building Workshop
The Governor's Energy Office is hosting this local workshop aimed at promoting high performance in Steamboat Springs. In addition, the course has been approved for five Continuing Education Credits through the Green Building Certification Institute's Credentialing Maintenance Program.
The Governor's Energy Office High Performance Building Program provides free technical assistance to public building new construction and major renovation projects, disseminates tools and best practices and provides training and educational opportunities related to energy efficient, green building.
Representatives of the Governor's Energy Office (GEO) are touring the state to meet with individuals involved in all phases of achieving high performance building in their communities. The High Performance Building Program drives the value of the built environment in Colorado through a collaborative process encompassing planning, funding, design, construction, operations and maintenance.
With the goal of creating energy champions across the state, the workshop will:
Provide an overview of the High Performance Building Program which includes public education, outreach and partner participation.
Demonstrate how integrated design brings all stakeholders to the planning table.Offer strategies to maximize energy efficiency in your building projects.
Feature examples and success stories from Northwest Colorado.
Identify funding opportunities.
