2012 Year of Water

Zach Owens : Friday July 1, 12:44PM

Mark your calendars! 2012 is the year to celebrate all things water in Colorado! The Colorado Foundation for Water Education is leading a collaborative effort of many water partners to honor the past, present, and future of Colorado water. Be sure to visit www.water2012.org for the latest information and planning news.

Supplemental to this, Colorado College has announced that water will be the topic for the 2012 State of the Rockies Report. In particular, the report will focus on The Colorado River: Agenda for Use, Restoration and Sustainability as if the Next Generation Counts. In light of the theme, a photo contest of the Colorado River Basin has been announced . Submissions should focus on the question: what do youth care about the Basin and seek to enhance and protect for the future? If you’re a photographer looking to participate, be sure to read the guidelines.
