Alliance for Sustainable Colorado Announces Next Step in Building Transformation

Fitzmartin Consulting Company selected as Owner’s Representative for the Alliance

Denver (April 22, 2013) – The Alliance for Sustainable Colorado announces the selection of Fitzmartin Consulting Company (FCC) as the Owner’s Representative Firm to support the organization’s Building Transformation project. As the lead on the project, Don Fitzmartin, President and CEO of FCC, will assist the Alliance in creating a world-class, cost effective high performance building. Specifically, Fitzmartin will provide strategic representation on behalf of The Alliance through selection and management of design, construction, furniture selection, cabling, security, and tenant relocation services.

With three decades of commercial real estate experience, Fitzmartin possesses a passion for cost effective energy efficiency and sustainability as related to commercial real estate. Fitzmartin is also a graduate of NREL’s Energy Executive Program, Co-founder of the Colorado Energy Coalition, and third-year Chairman of the USGBC’s Commercial Real Estate Initiative. With his professional experience and his passion for the industry, Fitzmartin will lead the Alliance in successfully launching and executing the Building Transformation Project that will ultimately result in a world-class model for sustainability and collaboration at work.

As Events and Communications Manager, Megan is in charge of overseeing all Alliance events such as the Annual Heroes of Sustainability Awards, Speaker’s Series and Monthly Dine-a-logue Luncheon Series. She also assists the Education & Outreach Director on external communication pieces including the quarterly Catalyst newsletter and the monthly Sustainable Business Network newsletter. Megan attended Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama where she earned a degree in Marketing, and served as a member of the College’s Executive Society. Prior to joining the Alliance in January of 2011, Megan worked as an Event Manager for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Colorado-Wyoming Chapter where she ran the organization’s largest event – Bike MS, which boasted over 3,000 event participants. She also worked with Kroenke Sports Enterprises and the Colorado Rapids where she assisted in the opening of their brand new, state-of-the-art soccer stadium.
