To those who remember The Alliance Center prior to 2014, the newly transformed space is unrecognizable.
Our historic building, located steps away from Union Station in Lower Downtown Denver, is a showcase of green building techniques, design and technology that increase innovation and improve human productivity.
The building’s most notable features include glass walls that allow greater access to natural light, quiet workspaces next to technology-rich collaboration spaces, energy-efficient upgrades, unique eco-friendly products and recycled materials, and an event space that can accommodate up to 200 guests. More than 80 events and board meetings took place in the new event space in just the first six months following the grand reopening. The redesigned Center, in partnership with Marley Coffee, also boasts a cafe and bar in the main lobby. Marley Coffee is committed to sustainability and fair trade, making them a perfect fit for our space. It is a true hub of activity.
The renovation also doubled the building’s maximum occupancy, increasing both revenue and efficiency. The new Alliance Center features 40,000 square feet of usable space across six floors. It offers shared services and office space at below-market rates to more than 30 nonprofits and businesses focused on sustainability—including a majority of the pre-renovation tenants — for a 50% increase overall and with plenty of room for more. This expansion has allowed for a growth in the range of sustainability topics that are represented within the building, including social justice, education and economic prosperity.
